The short version
This website does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or third-party scripts. We do not sell, share or monetise information about visitors. The only data involved in showing you this site is what our hosting provider needs to deliver it.
What we collect directly
Nothing. There are no accounts, forms that post to us, or sign-ups on this site.
If you email us, we keep that correspondence for as long as it is useful to answer you. We do not add you to any list.
What our hosting provider processes
The site is a static site served by Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes standard connection data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and keeps short-lived request logs. We do not have a way to identify you from this and we do not use it. Cloudflare’s handling of that data is described in its own privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
What stays in your browser
The desktop remembers a few preferences so it looks the same the next time you visit: colour scheme, sound, reduced motion and the clock format. These are stored with your browser’s local storage, on your device only. They are never sent to us. You can clear them at any time through your browser’s site-data settings. See the Cookies page for the exact keys.
Content you read
Blog posts and documents are plain files delivered with the rest of the site. Reading them creates no record with us.
Your rights
Philanthropy Dynamics is a Canadian company and follows the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Because we hold essentially no personal information about visitors, most requests are answered by confirming that. If you believe we hold information about you and want it accessed, corrected or deleted, email us and we will respond.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we knowingly collect no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be mentioned on the blog.
